I had a completely amazing time yesterday when I hung out with my brother's friend, Nic. I spent nearly the whole day with him, setting up the internet at his place, because he had fried his harddrive by angrily smashing it at the ground rather than his sister's head, playing World of Warcraft (which I am not entirely addicted to yet because I didn't have much time to play it), watching Dawn of the Dead, giggling insanely with Nic at all the hilarious zombie parts and looking at all of his air rifle collection, not to mention an actual rifle and bullets should zombies invade his neighbourhood.

It was so great that I am most likely going to be hanging out with him again today. I can't express how cool it was. What was even cooler is that I told my folks that I would be home around 9-ish, and when I didn't end up getting home until 11:30 they didn't care. WHAT? Had I been with Josh, they would have been downright furious. They didn't care in the least. They were happy that I had a good time, and where slightly worried about the time of night, but they realized that I have had to get home late at night before and that never phased me.

All in all, I had an awesome day yesterday, which is exactly what I needed, all things considered. I am hoping that today will be another one.

It is the night before Hallowe'en and I barely contain myself. I only hope that this year makes up for last year... staying in when one is all clad in costume is not fun at all.

My samurai costume is... well... I haven't put it all on myself just yet. I will take many a picture tomorrow... hopefully it will look decent.

It is funny how not too long ago I posted lyrics to a song and now I am posting words to a poem that I just found? Two very dear friends of mine wrote this quite a while ago, and for some reason, I thought it would be neat to post this for you all to see.

Ode to Amy

My sister and I have now prepared

When I found this whilst going through old things that I still haven't yet unpacked from moving back here, this almost brought a tear to my eye. I just wanted to let the two people that wrote this poem how much I appreciated the effort that they went to write this, even though it was at least two years ago, and I feel somewhat silly for only saying this now, because your poem meant so much more to me than a bought birthday gift of something that would most probably be over priced and would either break or be obsolete within the next couple of months.

Thank you. I miss the both of you horendously.
